The coveted Rear Of The Year Award celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and the red hot favourite, thanks to coverage of the Royal Wedding, is Pippa Middleton at 4/9 favourite. The first award, a one-off, was presented to Barbara Windsor in 1976 but it became an annual event in 1981 when Felicity Kendal won the award. Other recent winners include Fiona Bruce, Rachel Stevens and Jennifer Ellison.
For this years award, Pippa is the clear favourite, her posterior having become big, metaphorically speaking, on such sites as Facebook and Twitter and in the press in general.
Other contenders include Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at 8/1, the Duchess of Cambridge at 10/1, Lauren Pope and Tulisa Contostavlos at 12/1, Chloe Madeley at 14/1 and Amanda Holden at 16/1.
So prestigious are the awards that the winners of both the men’s and women’s sections always attend the ceremony. Not always the case with Oscars or BAFTAS and similar.
