It is that time of year again and, as from today, the seasonal direct flights resume between Málaga and New York.
Delta Airlines and Air France KLM are offering six flights each week, one more than last year, and these will continue until September 6th. Last year, the flights continued until October 30th.
The route uses Boeing 757-200 planes with a capacity of 170 passengers. The seasonal direct flights began in 2008 and last year registered a 60% occupancy. Once at New York’s JFK airport, a wide range of connecting flights are available and the most popular have proven to be to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando and Boston.
Flights from Málaga to New York do continue throughout the winter months but are not direct, instead being routed via Madrid or Barcelona.
