The Public Prosecutor in Sevilla has opened proceedings against a nursery school in Sevilla Este under the child protection laws for only providing one meal per three pupils and also for embezzlement.
The first case is a child welfare prosecution for allegedly providing insufficient food to the pupils at the Las Tres Torres nursery school in Sevilla Este.
A second criminal case has been brought against officials of the school for malfeasance. The officials only contracted for the provision of ten meals for the 33 pupils attending the school.
Most of the parents have now withdrawn their children from the school and the provincial authorities have opened proceedings to revoke the grant to the school.
