National Police in Ronda have arrested three people in connection with a series of robberies with intimidation carried out on elderly people living alone.
The detainees have so far been connected to two robberies. The first occurred at 23:30 on March 27th, the three alleged villains gaining entry to the home of an elderly man and, threatening him with a knife, robbing him of jewellery and cash.
The second incident occurred on May 25th. The three robbers approached an elderly man on the street. One held the man by the throat, threatening him with a knife, while the other two emptied his pockets of valuables.
Two of the three detainees have been remanded in custody after appearing before a judge. There have been a number of robbery complaints in recent days by elderly people in Ronda.
