On Saturday June 18th there is a festival for all the family taking place in the Plaza Fábrica de los Cangrejos, events starting at 11:00 with a parade from the Balcón de Europa to the plaza via calle El Barrio and calle Málaga.
In the square there will be lots of arts, crafts and food stalls as well as a bouncy castle, workshops and puppet shows for the younger ones.
At 21:00 there will be a performance by the El Sarao choir from Nerja and the Lavapiés choir from Madrid.
There is also a multimedia show planned and the festival will finish with a concert by Javier Ojeda and his band.
The festival is being organised by the Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Aula del Mar (Aquatic Museum in Málaga) as a way of informing people about the value, function and crucial role of the local seagrass beds.
