Thanks to information provided by a local resident, the National Police have been able to apprehend a father and son team who stole electrical cable in Nerja last Friday.
The resident noticed two people fiddling with electrical installations down by the rio Chillar and informed the police. Officers arrested the two culprits, a father and son who live in Nerja, as they tried to sell the copper wire on an industrial estate in Vélez-Málaga.
The value of the copper wire was in the region of €3,000. It has now been returned to the Council the thieves will be appearing in court on Tuesday.
