A 41 year old homeless German national is in a serious condition in hospital in Palma, Mallorca, as a result of ingesting paint after being attacked by a group of minors.
The attack took place in Plaza España at around 04:30 on Tuesday morning. A group of four or five youths, thought to be minors, apparently began taunting, insulting and spitting at the German man who was sleeping in the area.
The youths had three cans of paint which they then poured on the face of the German, forcing him to ingest some of the paint and causing a bronchospasm.
The victim was taken to the Son Llàtzer hospital in a serious condition and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. The cans of paint have also been taken to the hospital for analysis.
