Novak Djokovic won his first Wimbledon title with a 6-4 6-1 1-6 6-3 victory over reigning champion Rafael Nadal. It was Djokovic’s 50th win in 51 matches and his fifth win over Nadal this year and he became the first Serbian man to win Wimbledon, his third Grand Slam title after two Australian Open victories. Djokovic was already assured of the numero uno spot before Sunday’s final.
