‘Operación Suministro’ has resulted in a total of 35 people being accused of the alleged crimes of forgery, corruption and city planning violations in the town of El Puerto de Santa Maria in Cádiz province.
‘Operación Suministro’ was ordered by judge Miguel Ángel López Marchena of the Court of Instruction Number 3 in El Puerto and relates to a number of alleged crimes committed during the period 1993 to 2006.
Amongst those implicated are the former Mayor, Hernán Díaz (IP), the Town Planning Officer, Fernando Gago, and IP Councillor Juan Carlos Rodríguez.
The judge has divided the case into nine separate proceedings in attempt to stop the case getting bogged down in court.
