According to the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Sports, during the period between January and May this year hotels in Andalucia received a total of 368,339 British travelers, 10.9 percent more than the same period in 2010.
These visitors accounted for 1,531,558 overnight stays, an increase of 9.3 percent, with an average stay of 4.16 days.
What is not mentioned with this ‘good news’ of course is that last year, the Icelandic volcano fiasco occurred during this period and visitor numbers were low.
