Seprona (Servicio de Protección de la Naturaleza) have opened proceedings against an animal feed distributor in Priego de Córdoba after he was found to be illegally selling prescription veterinary drugs.
A raid on the premises in Priego de Córdoba resulted in the discovery and seizure of 469 boxes of drugs for the treatment of animals. The drugs were kept locked in one of the outbuildings and were being sold ‘privately’.
The owner of the feed store, A.A.G., has been accused of selling veterinary drugs in an institution not registered or authorized by the competent authority, dispensing without a prescription and not knowing their composition or characteristics, marketing drugs with improper packaging or labeling and after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
