A Moroccan youth has been detained in in Málaga in connection with the disappearance last Wednesday of 16 year old Celia María Carpio, a resident of Getafe.
On Thursday, the girl’s parents reported to the Getafe police that their daughter was being held against her will in Málaga and that they had not heard anything from her since she connected to the social network Tuenti on Friday night.
Celia Maria Carpio, 1.70 meters tall, black hair and dark eyes, left her home in Getafe on Wednesday carrying a backpack with some clothes, 400 euros and a laptop.
On Saturday afternoon, a young Moroccan was detained near La Rosaleda football stadium and was in possession on the girl’s laptop computer. When questioned he insisted that he had left the girl at Málaga station with a ticket to Madrid.
Meanwhile, the girl’s parents have travelled to Málaga to distribute posters bearing a picture of their daughter in the hope that someone will recognise her and provide a clue as to her whereabouts.
