A fire in Valverde del Camino, Huelva, which started on Wednesday afternoon has now been brought under control and firefighters hope that it will be extinguished today.
The fire was first detected at 16:20 on Wednesday afternoon and has destroyed eight hectares of scrub and eucalyptus.
Around seventy firemen and other personnel with the support of nine aircraft of one sort or another have been involved in the operation to bring the fire under control. An investigation is also under way to ascertain the cause of the blaze.
