Bit of entertainment early this morning for local residents as Larry, Curly and Mo came to do a bit of touch-up work on the exterior of an apartment. Having parked their lorry, a van and a car, they got the lorry on its stabilisers and were about to start when one of them decided they were about to repair the wrong apartment.
Not only were they at the wrong apartment, they were in the wrong street. After much shouting, huffing and puffing they moved the lorry one street up and began to repair the correct apartment. At least that’s what we presume, but who knows.
Curly, in the hanging basket, was constantly yelling instructions to Mo who was standing across the street with a sort of modified PlayStation controller as he tried to get to the right spot.
Perhaps a builder could let us know exactly what was being done. The gist of the repair was to use a hammer and chisel to make two narrow, shallow channels (chisel blade width) below each corner of a window. The shape of these channels was ‘(‘ and ‘)’.
The channels were then immediately filled in and painted over. Expansion problems is all I can come up with.
