Marine Rescue last night offered assistance to 42 sub-Saharan travellers attempting to sneak into Spain through the back door after their inflatable dinghy ran out of fuel and began drifting about twenty miles south of Adra, Almeria.
The travellers, including four women, were spotted spotted by a fishing vessel at 20:0 on Wednesday evening and intercepted by the vessel Guardamar Caliope at around 22:00 and accompanied to the port of Motril.
Four of the passengers needed medical treatment for minor ailments.
