The charges for the Los Huertos de Carabeo car park for Nerja residents who are registered on the padrón (census) and pay Nerja road tax are going up from €7 per month to €40 per month.
Anyone currently with a €7 per month subscription will continue to pay this amount until the end of September when all vehicles will have to vacate the car park ready for the Feria celebrations.
For new subscribers, and after the Feria for existing subscribers, the charge will be €40 per month.

Such a pity that they keep changing the goalposts for charging in this car park. Nowhere to park now in the streets adjacent to the car park, and uncertainty as to when they will increase the charges next. Can no longer plan trips to Nerja if arriving by car, or even hiring a car, as parking sometimes impossible now. Their loss, unfortunately.

I have been told that they are not ‘owners’ – but a Bank from Granada that has reposessed the site. As a Bank they will not be concerned by the use of the site, only the revenue.
