Saturday September 3rd sees the start of a new initiative by the Council, a guided tour of Nerja which aims to provide people with more information about some of the lesser known areas of the town.
Official guides will explain all about the Muslim and Christian heritage with visits to historic buildings as well as explaining about more recent history, such as the TV series ‘Verano Azul’ and the Maro cliffs area.
The first tour will be free and anyone interested in joining this initial foray should register at the Municipal Tourist Office in calle Carmen.
Subsequent tours, however, will not be free. The cost will be €10 for adults and €5 for children aged between 8 years and 12 years. The tour lasts about two hours and ends with a drink and a tapa.
