Saturday September 3rd is the Día del Turista – Day of the Tourist – and there are several activities and events planned.
12:00 at the Town Hall – Presentation of Tourist Ambassador award to Miguel Joven.
13:00 Guided tour of Nerja starting from the Tourist Office. This inaugural tour is free and includes a tapa at the end but you do need to register in advance at the Tourist Office.
19:00 – Opening of the information stand on the Balcon de Europa and handing out of gifts for tourists.
21:00 Balcon de Europa – Flamenco dancing with Pepe Luis Conde
21:45 Balcon de Europa – Concerts by Los Guerreros del Kaz-Berk and the Georgia State Ballet. Firework display to end the festivities.

Will they be letting the tourists know where they may park without breaking the Bank when the streets are congested and Carabeo car park is being shunned due to pricing? Long stay tourists are starting to stay away from Nerja, and free gifts won’t solve the problem.
