Bamboo on Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos in Nerja is in a great location, overlooking both the square and the sea at Torrecilla beach. Always a nice atmosphere for sipping a cocktail, I decided it was about time to sample the lunch menu. So I did.
It was a lovely sunny day, as one might reasonably expect at this time of year, and the spacious terrace was slowly filling up.
We started with cocktails – and why not – while we perused the menu and made our choices.
Our order consisted of entrecote steak (medium), grilled pork chop and hake in a Basque sauce. I did wonder why the waiter placed the cutlery at the edge of the table each time but when I saw the size of the plates I realised why! Enormous.
Mine was a large steak and, for a change, was a true ‘medium’. It was accompanied by chips, glazed vegetables and rice. All the portions were large and virtually filled the huge plates.
Large portions, well cooked and presented and most enjoyable. So, three cocktails, three main meals plus coffee and a total bill of €50. Highly recommended.
