According to figures released by the authorities, the summer months have seen far fewer accidents in the municipality, less vehicles being towed and a decrease in the number of people being cited for not wearing a crash helmet or driving under the influence of alcohol.
During the period from April to September 13th there were 26 accidents in the municipality compared to 35 the previous year. There were also no deaths or serious injuries as a result of these accidents.
There were apparently 355 vehicles towed, a huge drop when compared to 2010 when there were 742.
Not wearing a crash helmet resulted in 10 denuncias this year compared with 37 last year and 9 people were caught over the alcohol limit compared to 12 the previous year.
