Andalucia’s debt grew by 18% during the second quarter of 2011 and now stands at €13.545 million according to the Bank of Spain.
Debt growth in Andalucia is below the national of 23.5% and relating to GDP it is 9.3% compared to the national average of 12.4%. The autonomous regions with debts of 12.4% of GDP have reached the highest figure since 1990.
By region, Cantabria, with 75.3%, leads the debt growth table for the second quarter, followed by Extremadura (50.4%), Asturias (49.4%), Murcia (48.8% ) and Castilla y León (46.9%).
