Three people were injured when a helicopter made a forced landing in a central street in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz.
The pilot of the helicopter managed to land the craft on calle San Juan, barely four metres wide, without causing injury to pedestrians or damage to buildings except for one broken window.
Three German nationals on board the helicopter were taken to hospitals in the area after suffering various injuries during the incident. Two remain under observation in hospital, the third was discharged after being treated for minor injuries.
The incident occurred at around 17:00 on Sunday, a time when there was little traffic on the road. The area around the helicopter was covered with foam and the fuel tanks of the craft were emptied as a precautionary measure.
