The Council has issued an edict relating to the upcoming feria, basically covering the rules and regulations applicable to the various stalls and attractions.
The feria will begin after the opening speech (pregón) on October 8th and the only activities permitted in the area before this time are the fairground attractions which will provide half price rides for children. This will be between 12:00 and 19:00.
Every marquee, stall, attraction or commercial enterprise must clearly display its municipal licence with the holder’s name and authorised activity clearly visible. Licences cannot be amended in any way.
Drinks or food may not be sold directly on the street, only in the marquees, and drinks for taking out of the marquees cannot be in glasses or bottles.
All establishments must comply with accepted standards for cleanliness and rubbish must be placed in strong, sealed plastic bags and only put out for collection between 06:00 and 10:00 each day.
Stalls and marquees must have the requisite number and type of fire extinguishers specified under the regulations and these must be both visible and accessible.
A First Aid kit containing the minimum resources required under health and safety ordinances must also be present and accessible.
Stalls and other commercial activities on the feria ground are permitted to open at 12:00, except on the first day, and may stay open until 06:00 each day.
The feria runs from October 8th to October 12th inclusive.
