Dani Pedrosa claimed his third victory of the season at the Japanese MotoGP, taking advantage of a spill by Casey Stoner to come home first ahead of fellow countryman and reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo.
Casey Stoner managed to remount his bike and finished in third place. Stoner’s lead in the current championship has now been cut to forty points but he is still the firm favourite to clinch the title.
