Police in Vélez-Málaga have located and freed two children who were forced into prostitution in various alternative clubs by their mother, who has been arrested.
Police received information that two young sisters were being used for prostitution in various clubs in the area and began an investigation. They finally managed to locate the two girls and free them.
The mother and her daughters were brought from Rumania by an unscrupulous individual and introduced into the club scene in Girona. The mother controlled the activities of her two daughters, taking all of their earnings and handing 50% to the man who brought them to Spain.
After a few months in Cataluña they moved to the Costa del Sol and the mother put the girls to work in various alternative clubs in the area. The girls were provided with new identities and false papers to avoid detection.
The mother has been arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and forgery. The two girls have been taken to a reception centre run by the Junta de Andalucia.
