Spain produced a dominant display to beat Scotland 3-1 in the last of the Euro qualifiers, although they were already safely through to the finals.
David Silva opened the scoring after just six minutes and added a second just before the break. David Villa made it three before Scotland pulled one back via the penalty spot after Spanish keeper for the day, Valdés fouled MacKiel-Smith in the area.
David Goodwillie converted the spot kick but it never really looked like the beginning of a famous Scottish comeback as they continued to be outplayed by Spain.
