The former mayor of Ronda, Antonio Marín, has paid the €150,000 bail requirement imposed by the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 2 in Ronda relating to the ‘Acinipo’case, an investigation into urban corruption.
Antonio Marín is charged with a number of crimes relating to urban planning violations, including corruption, bribery, embezzlement of public funds, money laundering and influence peddling.
The former Councillor for Public Safety and Finance, Rafael Lara, also paid his bail, set at €50,000, as did the former Councillor for Works and Urban Development, María José Martín de Haro, whose bail was set at €80,000.
A local Ronda promoter and a former PSOE secretary, deputy mayor and provincial delegate, Francisco Cañestro, were earlier released without bail. They are charged with the same offences as the former mayor.
