The Ministry of Rural Affairs has reported that two active fires in Ourense (Galicia) have now each destroyed over 500 hectares of land and are therefore classified as ‘big forest fires’.
A fire in Lobios has now destroyed 850 hectares of land and one in Manzaneda has destroyed 800 hectares.
A new fire in Rios which started at 08:40 on Sunday has destroyed around 80 hectares of land.
A fire in Viana do Bolo has so far destroyed 200 hectares of land and another in A Gudiña has destroyed 150 hectares. In Maceda, fire has so far destroyed 200 hectares of land and in A Peroxa, yet another fire has destroyed 200 hectares of land.
A new fire in Paderne de Allariz has so far affected 20 hectares of land.
