José Bretón, the father of the two young children who allegedly went missing in a park in Córdoba on October 8th has been remanded in custody without bail on a charge of illegal detention.
The two children, six year old Ruth and two year old José, apparently went missing after their father lost sight of them in a park.
Police have conducted numerous searches of the area including several at a farm where Bretón was living after separating from his wife. So far there has been no trace of the children.
Bretóns lawyer has stated the intention to appeal the decision to jail her client on the grounds that there is no evidence to support the charge. Bretón was arrested on October 19th.
