The family of Cecillia Coria, the 25 year old Argentinian girl stabbed to death on the Balcón de Europa in Nerja on September 28th 2008 by her ex-boyfriend, have expressed their dismay at the prosecution’s demand for a 26 year 9 month sentence when the trial starts tomorrow.
The family believe that the sentence being requested by the prosecution will mean that the killer could be free in 15 years and, given that he has been the subject of several restraining orders and that the attack was premeditated and violent, he will be a danger to society.
Cecillia Coria died on September 28th 2008 as a result of being stabbed at least 18 times by her former boyfriend, a Moroccan national, who has been in custody ever since the event.
