A 27 year old climber had to be rescued today after he fell and ended up suspended about 60 metres above the ground in an area just outside Benaoján.
At around 12:15 the climber’s companion notified the authorities about the fall and the Ronda Fire Brigade, Guardia Civil, Infoca officials and medical staff went to the scene.
The area where the incident occurred is Vía Ferrata, a few hundred metres from Benaoján. The climber banged his head several times and partially lost consciousness during his ordeal and was taken to hospital in Málaga for treatment.
