The latest analysis of the water supply from wells in Benaoján and Montejaque show that the level of contamination has been reduced by between 94% and 99% but the water is still not deemed fit for human consumption.
The contamination of the water supply came to light on October 28th and since then the 2,600 residents have been supplied with drinking water brought in by tankers.
The precise cause of the contamination is still not known and more tests are being carried out.
