The average price of housing fell by 6.9% in October compared to the same month last year, according to Tasaciones Inmobiliarias (Tinsa).
Accumulated figures show that house prices have fallen by an average of 23.7% since the peak of the housing boom in 2007.
Along the Mediterranean coast the accumulated fall is 30.1%, in capitals and major cities 25.9% and in metropolitan areas 24.4%. The October fall in average price is considered moderate compared to September when the figure was 7.5%.
So far this year, the fall in average price compared to the same month in 2010 has been:
January: 5%
February: 4.5%
March: 3.7%
April: 4.4%
May: 5.9%
June: 6.6%
July: 6.4%
August: 6.8%
September: 7.4%
October: 6.9%
