According to the mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Francisco Delgado Bonilla, the renovation of the Torre del Mar promenade will be finished by the middle of June next year, in time for the main summer season which, in Torre del Mar, is July and August.
The €2,477,336 project, which started in September, has a completion period of twelve months but, after visiting the site to gauge progress, the mayor says the promenade will be finished by June 2012.
As long as there is no bad weather during the winter and the funds don’t dry up of course.
The renovated promenade will include a two kilometre long two-way cycle path.
