Saturday saw the inauguration of the new artificial football pitch in Casabermeja, built at a cost of €933,801 and the fortieth such facility implemented in Málaga province so far.
The regional government is investing a total of €365 million in various sporting facilities in the region; football pitches, running tracks, swimming pools etc, and has already provided nearly €300 million.
There are 40 football pitches so far in Málaga province and 250 in the region as a whole, representing 89% of the target. In addition, there are 750 sports related projects either completed or planned.
Amongst those attending the inauguration in Casabermeja were the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía, Luciano Alonso, the president of the provincial Council, Elias Bendodo, and the mayor of Casabermeja, Antonio Dominguez.
