The National Police in Málaga have dismantled an organisation dedicated to the sexual exploitation of Rumanian women, arresting a total of twelve people, including a minor, and releasing six victims.
It was the usual story of women being enticed to Spain with offers of jobs as waitresses or dancers and then being forced into prostitution to pay of the debts incurred as a result of their trip.
The organisation kept a tight control on the women, dictating where they stayed, where they worked and setting the fees for their services. Most ended up working on the Guadalhorce industrial estate.
Police raided several homes in Benalmádena and Torremolinos. Nine of those arrested have been remanded in custody.
