The Fiesta de San Anton in Maro has been brought forward to this weekend, the 14th and 15th, although there will still be a Mass held on the actual festival day, January 17th.
Events start at 17:00 on Saturday with a parade through the streets and at 19:00 it will be time to light the bonfires.
From 22:00 there will be dancing in the plaza with the group Alaba.
Sunday begins with a floral tribute followed by Mass at 12:00. Afternoon entertainment is in the hands of the dance groups Christian and Angela Muñoz. The procession of San Antón will begin at 20:30 qand there will be fireworks and a performance by the Nerja Municipal Band.
Alalba will once again provide music and the end of the celebrations will be accompanied by another firework display.
