A workman died on Thursday afternoon after he plunged from a height of three floors at a Hipercor located in a mall in Córdoba.
The man apparently worked for a Madrid-based subcontractor specialising in the installation of metal panels and had been working in Córdoba for a week. At the time of the accident he was being raised on a forklift truck.
The Works Commission are reported as saying that the accident could have been avoided as the rules prohibit the use of forklifts in this manner.
