Real Madrid moved back to a five point lead at the top of the table on Sunday night after a 4-1 win against Athletic Bilbao.
It was the visitors who took an early lead through Llorente but Marcelo levelled things midway through the first half. After the break, two penalties from Cristiano Ronaldo and an angled shot from Callejón put the match beyond dispute.
Third placed Valencia could only manage a 1-1 draw with Osasuna and are now nine points adrift of second placed Barcelona and fourteen behind the leaders. Soldado put Valencia ahead and it looked to be enough until Lolo slotted home deep into injury time.
