The municipalities of Nerja and Torrox have initiated contact to establish the boundaries between the two municipalities, an exercise which requires the setting up of committees in both towns.
The committees, made up of politicians and technicians, must agree the boundaries and submit these to the Cartographic Institute.
The agreed boundaries were established during the eighteenth century but the Nerja PGOU doesn’t include this historical delineation. This task is expected to take about two months to complete.
The initiator of the project was the Nerja Council.
