A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing near the Estadio Benito Villamarín in Sevilla which left a 32 year old man in a serious condition with wounds to his thorax and abdomen.
The incident occurred a little over thirty minutes before the La Liga game between Real Betis and Getafe, but although it took place near the stadium police do not at this time believe it was related to the match.
The injured man is in a serious condition in the Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Sevilla.
