Police in Valencia have detained a businessman in connection with the deaths of Manuel Borrallo and his pregnant niece Verónica Gordillo whose bodies were found in a warehouse in Zafra, Badajoz.
Borrallo, who ran a transport company, and his 25 year old pregnant niece died from gunshot wounds, their bodies discovered in a warehouse on the Los Caños industrial estate in Zafra.
It appears that Borrallo was involved in a dispute with another businessman in Algeciras, Cádiz province, who also had a transport company but was using Borallo’s name and operating vehicles without ITV and insurance. As a result of an official complaint by Borallo, the court issued an embargo against the company in Algeciras.
This other businessman was reportedly in Zafra at the time of the shootings but disappeared shortly afterwards.
