National Police officers rescued a group of hikers who managed to get lost and disoriented about eleven kilometres from Granada on the camino de Beas.
The hikers, aged between 20 and 24 years, set off from the area near the Generalife in Granada but after travelling about 11 kilometres they lost their way and called for help. They explained that they were without food or water and had no idea where they were.
A tracking operation located the group about ninety minutes after they called and guided them to safety. All were in perfect health.
