Eight people have been arrested and 110,000 doses of anabolic drugs used for producing sexual enhancement pills have been seized as part of ‘Operación Elevador’.
The organisation, highly organised and with an extensive network, manufactured the drugs illegally and without proper medical control and sold them via websites. Various companies were set up to launder the large amounts of money involved and property was purchased in tax havens such as Panama.
The base materials, anabolic drugs, were bought from the USA, malaysia, UK and Thailand and then turned into performance enhancers. Storage facilities in Torremolinos and Coín were also raided by the police.
In addition to the drugs, police have blocked numerous bank accounts and seized luxury vehicles and property to the value of €3.5 million.
