Police are investigating the theft of 30 kilos of cocaine from the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Science in Sevilla.
The theft was discovered yesterday morning although it is not yet known exactly when the drugs, stored at the institute for analysis before being destroyed, were taken.
Police are studying CCTV footage from inside the building and interviewing security staff as well as officials from the institute although no arrests have yet been made. The drugs were kept in a safe in a secure area, although obviously not safe and secure enough.
