Málaga completed an impressive and deserved 4-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano at La Rosaleda on Thursday evening, although they had to rally from going down to an early penalty.
Rondón with two, Maresca and Duda were the scorers for the Blue and Whites, Diego Costa from the penalty spot and Trashorras were on target for Rayo.
Málaga are in fifth in La Liga but on the same points as Levante above them, so a few good results and Europe could be beckoning. Only three points behind Valencia now, third place could also be on the cards.
