Athletic Bilbao came from a goal down to clinch an impressive 2-4 first-leg win over Schalke ’04 in the Europa League quarter finals.
Llorente opened the scoring for Bilbao but two goals from Raúl (remember him?) put the German side in front before a second from Llorente and one apiece from De Marcos and Muniain turned things around to give Athletic a great chance of progressing in the competition.
A very good match to watch, full of action, and Raúl played a blinder.
Atlético Madrid still have it all to do after a 2-1 win over Hannover ’96, Falcao and Salvio the scorers for the home side, Diouf for the visitors.
Valencia have even more to do in the second-leg after going down 2-1 to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. Holman and Martens were the scorers for AZ, Topal for Valencia.
