The Nerja Caves School of Catering celebrated its fifteenth anniversary with a special menu prepared by Javier Cabrera, a student at the school from 1998 to 2000 and now chef at the Els Brancs restaurant of the five star Hotel Vistabella in Roses, Gerona.
The catering school began by also training waiters but now concentrates solely on the kitchen side of things.
Over 200 pupils have passed through the school, many going on to work at prestigious establishments such as the hotel NH in Málaga and the Café de París.
The School of Catering is headed by chef Rafael Aragón and uses the Restaurant Cueva de Nerja as its base.
