The Ministry of Finance has rejected the ‘adjustment plan’ submitted by Frigiliana in order to qualify for loans to pay outstanding debts to suppliers.
Frigiliana Council was proposing to pay €723,00 of unpaid bills. The Central Government deemed the submitted adjustment plan to be inadequate. The Frigiliana plan included, amongst other things, an increase in IBI (rates) imposed by the Central Government.
The Council now has one month to come up with a revised and acceptable plan. The municipality is the first to have an adjustment plan rejected.
