The Supreme Court of Justice of Cataluña (TSJC) has declared as void some of the Rules of Use of the Catalan Language, meaning that Catalan is no longer the preferred language of communication within the Barcelona Council.
The appeal was made by the PP leader in Barcelona, Alberto Fernández Díaz. Previously, the Supreme Court (TS) had dismissed an appeal filed by the Barcelona Council against the TSJC decision to suspend seven articles of the Rules of Use of the Catalan Language.
